We will be attending the AAU Mega Tryouts 


 We are excited to begin Year Two with Ben Poidinger continuing in his role as Director! Ben is currently a High School Athletic Director and brings more than a decade of experience across a variety of basketball coaching and sports management roles. We’re grateful for his leadership and look forward to another great year ahead!

After a successful 2025 season where we fielded 16 teams between boys and girls, we are excited about 2026 AAU basketball!

ben poidinger

 

Ben Poidinger has dedicated his career to guiding athletes and teams toward success. He’s currently a High School Athletic Director and also teaches as an adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University, sharing his real-world sports experience with students. Before taking on athletic director roles, Ben was a varsity basketball assistant a

 

Ben Poidinger has dedicated his career to guiding athletes and teams toward success. He’s currently a High School Athletic Director and also teaches as an adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University, sharing his real-world sports experience with students. Before taking on athletic director roles, Ben was a varsity basketball assistant at Anoka High School and later became Head Basketball Coach at PACT High School.


With a Master’s in Athletic Administration from Concordia University - Irvine and a Bachelor’s in Sports Management. Ben brings both knowledge and experience to Takeover Hoops, where he has an exceptional vision for the future of the program, and how we can develop a culture that fosters skill building and creating a love for the game.

Our goal is to provide an educational and developmental basketball experience that teaches discipline, confidence, work ethic, and leadership skills. We aim to shape as many young people as possible to be the future leaders of our society.
